La Luz. Batangas. - My First Leg of Summer
So technically, my summer begins last May 4, as my company team took it's first summer team building after my 3 years stay with them. It is actually just the 11 of us, by where we missed Jan and our newbie Rex because they both have prior engagements.
This picture was taken before we left the resort and yeah, I brought the girls and hubby with me :)
From left to right: JerPer, Nate, Oliver, Migs, Topher, Al, Pao, Jo, Anne, Jerwin, Me and the kids. (Not in the picture were Kuya Mike (ate jo's hubby), Nate's kids and wife and of course my hubby :) )
The resort as said is located at Laiya, Batangas. It was almost 3 hours drive from our home here in Cavite but hubby said we could reduce the byahe time if we didnt try to follow the directions given in their online site and just followed our GPS instead. The direction is quite good but hubby thinks it is quite paikot-ikot.
I've been to La Luz a few times before during my stay in my previous company (Accenture) so I am no newbie to the place actually, although they are more equipped than before for team building activities (which we never used as we were too lazy to do such activities and decided to just swim-eat-play with the kids-eat-swim again). The balsa that was somewhere there a few meters away from the shore is also new :)
The resort is quite cheap but is very good for its price. Since the family was with me during our team building, we decided to get our own room that only cost me P3660. It has a twin bed (sorry I am too lazy to take pictures of the outing) airconditioned and has a very good shower and comfort room with a reasonable running water (which is very important to us since the kids are too maarte when using comfort rooms). La Luz by default would ask a P1200 fee per person for food as they do not want people eating or cooking inside and outside their rooms. This fee is good for over night stays which comprises of lunch during check in, snack time, dinner and breakfast. You are asked to check out at 11 so you better take your beakfast late or you will starve yourself going back home.
If I would rate the food, technically I am not that happy. They were all kinda salty so we barely eat a lot. Hubby's joke is that maybe they get their water supply in the beach that's why the taste is like that.
This is the shore of La Luz, technically the sand looks white but hubby said it was artificial (hehehe). The kids wants to run to the shore and play with the sand as soon as they saw the place but the mommy and daddy were starving to death so they waited a whooping hour before they can do so. If you are bringing your kids with you in La Luz, it is essential for them to have an aqua shoes. The sands were not feet friendly and the kids might hurt themselves barefoot as it is kinda rough. Actually, I decided all of us should get the aqua shoes so we can also play with the kids comfortably on and off the water.
These are all the pics I took during our stay. Bwahahahahaha. I am such a lazy ass.
This is the view from my happy spot. :)
And hubby taking pictures with me :)
Banang's Emo shot,
Ate's sexy shot,
And we are off to go after:
As always, it is the best when you go on vacation with the people you love. A happiness when shared is doubled right?
Of course, along every team building comes a different rockin story. We really enjoyed our brief bonding time with the boys as we emptied a few bottles of emperador and Migs and Al and Jerper drunk, shouted and collapsed!
This is my first leg of summer. My next stop is...... EL NIDO, Palawan with my old girlfriends..... Wooooooooot.
