May13. Eleksyon

Yeah. It's just a few days away from yet another country's biggest event. Election time. To be honest, i am not even voting. I have few reasons why I can't and won't vote, please don't judge me. 

My friends would always taunt me about the opportunities and rights I didn't took before and won't take next week but really, I just can't find my good reason to take my ass off to comelec and register myself. I should have voted years ago, it is just that maybe, it was something my heart can't find to do so.

First and foremost, I don't believe in the government officials anymore. Maybe not entirely, but most of them are trashes. Every after elections, I would find myself guilty on not taking part of this event, only to be annoyed after seeing those officials I should have voted were all doing a bad job in the government. I feel bad knowing if I had voted, those I accounted for in my ballots were bad choices. 

Another reason I don't vote is because I always missed the opportunity to register. I always have this syndrome of hearing voting registration late so I always ended up showing in the crunch time and going home after seeing the registration area were jam packed. Really, I dont feel unhappy leaving because, yeah, it is some rights I can vouch to give to someone if only I can.

I am soooo lazy. Up to now, I can't bring myself to LTO to apply for a driver's license, what more to go to voting registration where I would just make myself tired only to vote with this trashes.

I know paying taxes is not enough reason to say I am a good citizen of my country. But really, if there is something I can be proud of myself. It is the huge task I am paying to our government. It is not of course as huge as Kris Aquino's taxes but it is good to pay atleast 4 soldiers in a year. 

My only hope and pray this coming election is for our country to find it's rightful leaders. Which, I think everyone's been praying for too. I hope God would send the voters on May 13' the wisdom and good reasoning as they choose who they write in their ballots.

I wish my country to go better with the help of this up coming leaders. So help us God.
